But with the new Alorica it wasn’t anything like that no recognition or prizes no commission.

It was awesome you could win all sorts of prizes and commission. Used to work for them before they changed from West at Home. The two things that I loved about the Remote position was: being able to schedule my own hours and work from home! Or there then that it sucked. I worked through Thanksgiving where I recieved two calls all day but was - more. All employees are also required to work 10-12 hour shifts on all major holidays. Overall I would not recommend this job to anyone who becomes stressed easily, as there's a lot to deal with as soon as you leave training. You are able to speak directly with your training managers and floor managers the entire time you're on the clock if you need assistance, but they are spread so thin it could take a while to recieve an answer. Not every trainer does the same routine, so some of the new hires dont recieve as much information as others do, creating confusion when you go into the "nesting" phase of training. Training for the CS2 position was 3 weeks long, you cram a ton of information during this time. (they say to check once a week, but you will need to check everyday). More often than not your work times do not autopopulate in your timesheet like they're supposed to, and must be done manually. There is quite a bit of disorganization, the systems used for work crash quite often due to overcrowding of the servers and other issues. Deliveries are being rescheduled on our customers the day before they're to arrive due to manufacturer delays, there is nothing that the customer service can do about it unfortunately so we just take the customer's anger. Customers that call in more often than not are angry because their orders are being messed up one way or another. But once I got onto the sales floor the experience changed. Working for Alorica started out fantastic, I had an amazing trainer that was very thorough. I love helping the clients and approving applications and protecting their online account. The most enjoyable part of the job: Being allowed to work at home and not having to get up get all dressed up and then Have to commute to a location. The hardest part of the job: Having to inform a potential perspective client that unfortunately we will be declining their application. But through Skype I still feel some of that. Working from home does take that face to face comradery away. Workplace culture: I love the people that I work with and for the most part people here enjoy their jobs. They are but a ping away in skype if help is needed. Management: Even though I work at home I am not micro managed. Honestly I learn something new every day. What you learned: I learned the value of online savings accounts and the value of CD's. I am able to just wake up make my coffee sit down at me desk and start taking incoming call about investments for fraud.
